Honeycomb Shades for Odd-Shaped Windows in Maple Leaf, Seattle

A Maple Leaf bedroom had bare, large, unusually shaped windows along with a sliding glass door. The homeowners wanted room darkening, privacy, and the ability to preserve their outdoor view.

We installed honeycomb shades with top-down/bottom-up operation on the windows and a coordinating vertical honeycomb shade on the sliding glass door. The shades adapt to the different window openings while allowing daylight and views from above and privacy below.

The finished honeycomb shades create a coordinated bedroom solution that addresses the unusual window shapes, sliding door, room darkening, and everyday privacy without closing off the view.
