Motorized Blackout Shades for Bedrooms & Skylights in Seattle

A new Beacon Hill townhome had a bedroom with many windows and close neighboring homes, plus a loft with skylights. The homeowner wanted room darkening, privacy, natural light, and convenient motorized control. We installed Hunter Douglas Duette® Architella® honeycomb shades with PowerView® Automation in the bedroom, using top-down/bottom-up operation for flexible privacy and daylight. Motorized honeycomb shades were also installed on the hard-to-reach skylights in the loft used as an office for easier operation. The finished shades improve privacy, room darkening, and everyday light control while giving both the bedroom and loft convenient, motorized operation.

Roman Shades for a Sliding Glass Door in Madison Park, Seattle

A Madison Park townhome had sliding glass doors in the living room and bedroom, and the new homeowner wanted a more refined treatment than the existing window coverings. Privacy and natural light were priorities. We installed Hunter Douglas Vignette® Modern Roman Shades with top-down/bottom-up operation, including the same style on a sliding glass door that functions more like a large window. The configuration allows light and views above while maintaining privacy below. Using the same Roman shade style across both rooms creates a cohesive, tailored appearance while giving the homeowner flexible control over privacy and daylight.

Motorized Solar Shades for Kitchen & Dining in Ballard, Seattle

The longtime homeowners of a Craftsman home in Ballard were ready to replace broken shades and make daily operation easier. A wide, hard-to-reach recessed kitchen window and a dining room sliding glass door required coordinated solutions. We installed Hunter Douglas solar shades with PowerView® Automation in the kitchen and dining room. Motorization makes the hard-to-reach window and sliding door easy to operate, while the solar fabric reduces glare, provides daytime privacy, and is easy to clean.
