Duette Honeycomb Shades for an Exercise Room in Madrona, Seattle

Bright morning sun and summer heat were affecting an exercise room in Madrona, while the existing faux wood blinds created a bulky stack that interrupted the Lake Washington view.

We replaced the blinds and installed Hunter Douglas Duette® Architella® honeycomb shades. Their honeycomb-within-a-honeycomb construction adds insulation to help reduce heat transfer at the glass, and the compact stack opens more of the window when the shades are raised.

The new shades improve light and heat management while reducing visual bulk at the window, allowing the exercise room to feel more open and preserve the view when raised.
